Gathering In

This Saturday we received the art work for our 9th annual Buddha Abides. Can you believe it, but we took in over a hundred! It's always exciting when the artists come out to play.

As usual there was a mix of media and a mix of emotions from exquisit and reverent to down right silly. In this day and age it's good to have a little frivolity. After all this is about en-Lighten-Up-ment. (How much did we all laugh with the Dalai Lama last Friday???)

We have an abundance of 5" by 5" pieces that will all be selling for $50. I am anticipating a rush on these jewels!

Bob Sedivy will once again be playing his wondrous, haunting shakuhachi, Japanese flute, to create an zen ambiance amidst the madness.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the party this Saturday at Caruso Woods, the Frameworks Gallery located at 831 Anacapa Street, just across from the main post office. The opening will go from 5pm to 8pm.
