Buddha Abides

Thank you, everyone!

Pepa, Thomas, David and I send thanks to all for a fabulous gathering of Buddha art! We are thrilled with the beauty and quality of the work this year. There were 140 submissions, including 50 5 X 5s with an amazing variety of styles. This will make for a decidedly fascinating wall, like a big Buddha quilt of joy.Speaking of quilts…. For the first time, we have a Buddha Quilt by Lee Weiser to display. Can you imagine being wrapped and comforted in that?Rehearsals for the living statues of Tara, for the chanting and singing, and for the poetry reading are coming along. We are all excited and a little bit nervous. So, here’s to hoping there will be a terrific crowd to enjoy this first mini-Buddha Abides Festival. If you are thinking like a Buddha, and acting like a Buddha, why not dress like a Buddha?Just a thought…May ten thousand blessings shower down upon you!
